Hair loss It is all to easy to loose perspective in the world of showbiz,
so we love to utilize our skills to help people over come this problem.
Working with you, we will try to make you feel confident about your
image again.
When Hilary was told she would need chemotherapy she contacted
us for advice as she had been told she would loose her hair. She
did not want a ready made wig so we began making a wig for her.
 We
took Hilary's head measurements and a head shape so that we could
make a wig foundation that would comfortably fit her. Hair was chosen
to match Hilary's own and we worked from photographs to make the
wig look like the hair she lost through treatment.
Hilary is delighted with her wig and is happy to let us use these
photographs of before and after her treatment.
As
an alternative to having a wig made, we carry a stock of ready made
wigs from the Ellen Wille Range. These are some of the best ready
mades we have seen and we have some very satisfied clients
who wear them.
Unusual wigs
One of our more unusual challenges came from some one who had always
wanted really long hair. The person sourced some hair from Asia
then sent it to us. We had it prepared and sorted in to lengths
before we set about knotting it. We made two wigs, which measued
1 metre and 1.5 metres from the crown to the ends. A challenge indeed!
Wigs
for special occasions
This private client hired one of our wigs to attend a 1930's themed
New Year Ball.
Tribute Artistes
We have been involved in creating wigs for many impersonators.
Lily Salvage, Elvis, Lennon and Bowie have all been to Wigs Up North,
with Micheal Jackson being our latest. Glenn Fielding caused quite
a stir in the Cotswolds recently when he wore his new wig and full
disguise to do a Jackson walkabout. Accompanied by his Uncles as
boucers, he caused a flood of phone calls to the local newspaper
from people who were convinced they had seen the real Jacko!
