We give you West End quality on a budget you can afford. We help design or match the look you require and advise you on how to make the most of wigs and make-up.
What is more, we offer workshops which can be run at our premises in Manchester or in a venue of your choice. With over forty years of experience between us and a passion for passing on our skills, these events are packed with information - we also encourage you to get some hands-on practice. Theatre make-up supplies are available directly from our online shop. We are members of NODA and hold 'am dram days' throughout the year in our shop. Please see the calendar for further information.

Our many years of experience heading wig departments on major shows puts us in the position of being able to offer a complete service to you. From wig-making and design to devising show plots and staffing. We provide all the supplies a wig department requires - maintaining your budget. This seamless service takes an extra burden off getting a show up and running - plus, we may be able to step in to cover staff in an emergency.
Make-up and Wig departments
After establishing your usual stock requirements, we ensure we have adequate stock to cover your needs. Watch out though - we aim to get your orders out quickly and if you forget something it might be too late!
TV and Film
Basing Wigs Up North in Manchester gives us the edge to help you when timing is tight. We can travel to do wig fittings across the country and also offer make-up assistance for your productions by qualified make-up artists. Make-up supplies for TV and Film can all be found at our online shop.
Drag
We can make your wildest wig dreams come true or give any of your old wigs a revamp with our wig hospital service. We also offer a wide selection of make-up including Kryolan to enable you to achieve the look you require.

Hair loss
However you have lost your hair we acknowledge that it can be an incredibly distressing event. We have access to various ready made wigs including 'Ellen Wille' and 'Dimples', we can also alter any you already have - enabling you to feel more confident. Our speciality is creating custom-made wigs that can replicate the hair you are about to loose or make something you always wish you had! MORE...
