About Us

Back in 2004, if you would have told us that in three years time Wigs Up North would have a prestigious award, own a shop and sell lots of make-up, you would have been laughed out of our little basement workshop.

But as we keep busy in our beautiful shop in Royal Mills, Manchester, stacking our shelves with fantastic make-up and polishing our award, you'd be right!

Our Ethos

At Wigs Up North our aim is to provide the best service possible across our range of services. We pride ourselves on our professional yet friendly approach and ensure that all of our clients receive equal treatment. We are committed to passing on good practice and sharing our knowledge with others. Our goal is to create confidence in others. This could be creating a character for an actor, helping a student learn new skills or using our skills to give someone their self-esteem back. And we have fun while we do it!

Our Values

We are passionate about the environment and taking an ethical stance in our business, so wherever possible we aim to:

• Support local and British suppliers.
• Stock products that are cruelty free or not tested on animals.
• Dispatch orders using recycled packaging.
• Use recycled stationery.
• Use FSC wood for the handles of our brushes and paper for our catalogue - we’ve even used vegetable inks!
